I built this system to tackle the frustration of slow, robotic customer support for order issues. The goal was a voice agent that sounds human, reacts instantly, and actually solves problems by accessing real-time order data and backend systems. Using the Retell AI platform for its low-latency voice capabilities, I designed and implemented the core intelligence and integrations.

Provide customers with immediate, natural-sounding voice support for common order management tasks (checking status, updating details, resolving simple issues) without long wait times, while ensuring the AI has real-time access to accurate supply chain and order information.

AI Systems Architect & Developer. While leveraging the Retell AI platform for voice orchestration, I architected and implemented the critical components that made the agent intelligent and effective:
- Custom Conversation Logic: Designed the core conversational flows, prompt engineering strategies, and state management to handle complex order inquiries naturally.
- Tool Integration & Backend Systems: Developed the integrations allowing the voice agent to securely access and utilize tools connected to the client’s supply chain management system and order databases.
- Low-Latency Optimization: Engineered the interaction flow and backend connections to minimize response delays, crucial for natural voice conversations.
- Data Analysis Hooks: Implemented custom webhooks to capture key interaction data for performance analysis, quality monitoring, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Prompt & Agent Tuning: Iteratively refined prompts and agent parameters to ensure accurate information retrieval, task completion, and a helpful, natural-sounding persona.
